When you book a yard on Rome, it guarantees that no other guests will be present during your visit. The only humans and dogs that will be there are the ones that you bring with you!

Sign Up or Sign In
To get to the sign in or sign up option, tap Profile button on the map page.
If you're new to Rome, create an account by tapping Sign up to continue
If you've already created an account, tap Already have an account?
Sign Up as a New User
Sign up for the app using your email, Apple account, Facebook account, or Google account.
Try to remember which account you used to sign up! Many times, Rome hosts and guests can't find their yard just because they log back in with the wrong account.
Sign In as an Existing User
Sign into your account using your email/password, Apple account, Facebook account, or Google account. Having trouble remembering which account you used? Check your email for a Welcome email from Rome.
Browse Available Yards
Explore the Map
Tap on a pin to jump to a yard that you want to explore
Move the map around and zoom in and out to see yards near you.
When you zoom out, you may see a Search this area option. Tap it to run a search on the visible map area.
Scroll the carousel to for a quick glance at yard details
Scroll right or left on the yards and the map will move around with you.
Get to know a yard before booking
Tap on a card to view yard details
You'll see things like: more photos, description, amenities, reviews, and more!
Book a Yard
Once you find a yard you like, tap the Reserve button
The next page will let you pick more options and enter a payment method before the reservation is made.
Select the number of dogs you'd like to bring
Quickly select 1, 2, 3, or 4 dogs. 5 dogs or more? Tap the 5+ button to see more options.
Under the selection, you will see the multi-dog discount the host is offering. The host can select 0%, 25%, 50%, 75%, or 100% off additional dogs.
Note: You will have the option to add more dogs to your booking after the reservation is made, but you will not be able to decrease the number of dogs.
Choose the date your visit
Quickly select today or tomorrow for your booking. Tap the calendar icon to view the yards availability and select a different date. Dates where the yard is not available will be greyed out.
Choose the duration for your visit
Select the duration for your visit. Typical options are 15 mins to 4 hours, but the host can set their minimum and maximum durations.
Choose the time for your visit
Based on the date and duration of your visit, you will be able to select a time based on yard availability.
Add a comment before reserving
Feel free to share any important details with your host using the Comment feature. You may want to share something about your dog's reactivity or how excited you are to visit! You will have the opportunity to further chat with the host after the reservation is made.
Double check the details
Make sure the number of dogs, date, duration, and time are correct! Double check AM versus PM!
Understanding the Service Fee
Rome charges a 10% fee on all bookings. This allows us to maintain the platform!
Pay and Reserve
Pay with card or select the Apple Pay option.
Follow the prompts when using either option to reserve the yard! Payments are handled by our trusted partner, Stripe.
Review Details and Instructions
After booking, you'll see the Reservation Details page.
From here, you'll see a few more features!
Extend booking
If the host allows extensions, you will be able to extend your visit all the way until the end of your visit. You will see extension options based on the yard's availabiliity.
Adjust your booking
Up to one hour before your booking, you can add more dogs or reschedule your booking. Tap the Adjust button to do this.
Cancel your booking
Need to cancel? You can cancel your booking up to one hour before your reservation. Scroll to the bottom and tap Cancel Reservation and then Cancel Reservation again to confirm.
Message the host
Feel free to chat with the host if you have any questions or just want to introduce yourself! Tap Message the host to access the chat feature.
Know where to go
Tap the yard address to copy the address. Tap the Get Directions button to navigate to the yard from your default map app on your phone.
Understand any instructions
Once you've reserved the yard, you'll want to review any instructions for the yard. If something doesn't make sense to you, this would be a great time to message the host to clarify anything!
Add your reservation to your calendar
Tap the Add to Calendar button to add your reservation to the calendar on your device.
